Welcome to the Department of Mathematics at Annai Hajira Women’s College. The department has a rich history that dates back to the establishment of the college itself. Initially, The Department offers an undergraduate programme (B.Sc.) in Mathematics with a single section of sanctioned strength 48. In the year 2016, with the increasing demand for Mathematics, it was expanded into two sections. The vision of the department is “To be a leading center of excellence in mathematics education, research, and innovation”. The department is committed in providing add on courses that equip the students with necessary skills. The Department of Mathematics, has dedicated to foster a deep understanding of mathematics and its real-world applications to the students. The faculty members are passionate in teaching and research and they strive to create a vibrant and intellectually stimulating environment for our students.
Achieving top rankings and securing 100% results in university examinations is a testament to the hard work and dedication of both our faculty and students. Department of Mathematics so far produced 84 rank holders in Part I Tamil, 12 in Part II English, and 15 in Part III Mathematics. Such success underscores the high standards of education and the strong support system within the department.
